Winter Posey Slouch

Don't let the cool look or name of this beautiful design fool you, the netted design makes it perfect for the slightly warmer weather as well! This slouch beanie features a gorgeous 6 petal flower in the center, a netted look on the sides and a very stretchy brim! And the material has just a slight sparkle to it making it even better ;)

All you need is some Caron Simply Soft Party, a size 7 (4.5) hook and you too can make this ha can can easily remind you of Winter in Spring or of Spring in Winter! It's versatile like that ;) 

Fair Lil' Baby Beanie

First... I could just scream. I can't believe I'm finally getting you guys a new freebie (for those of you who didn't know, I ended up with a pretty bad case of pregnancy induced carpel tunnel :( It's made crocheting basically impossible). It's a simple hat but the look is beautiful and it can be made with the recommended material (wool blend) for the cooler temps) or with I Love This Cotton for the warmer temps. That definitely makes it a winner in my book. Not to mention the color options are endless.

All babies look good in stripes. Mostly because babies can pull off just about any adorable look :p

Aaaand, not only am I bringing you a new free beanie pattern but I designed a new flower just for this hat too. You can use it on other hats to ;) lol

Peacock Petal Summer Slouch

This pattern was a lot of fun to make and even more fun to name. I sat and stared at it and was so clueless on the name that I turned to people for help and the name suggestions were awesome! There were so many I loved but ultimately... I went with a mixture of describing the hat and just a fun name! Thus we have the Peacock Petal Summer Slouch! Enjoy ;)

Butterfly Garden Baby Play Mat

I'm a little late getting this released in my store... but as many of you may remember, I participated in the Battle of the Stitches, round 5! Spring Time Slouch Hat

I've been so busy with my kiddo and the sales working towards that goal, that I hadn't realized I hadn't released a pattern since the animal graphs! Though, in my defense... there were four patterns released at once then ;)

Warmed with Love Fingerless Gloves

I have something exciting to share with you :D I've been focusing on graph hats for a while using my fpdc technique... but how about we take it a step farther and start applying this graphing technique to other patterns like, say, fingerless gloves?

-          Using the “bobbin method” described HERE will help simplify the graph portion of the gloves.

-          Many small graphs can be incorporated into these gloves and larger graphs can be by using a smaller hook and making more stitches around!

-          These gloves are of an average adult wrist size.

Girl on Fire Graph Hat

When I first drew up the graph for this hat, I wasn't sure what to call it. One friend of mine suggested calling it the "Fight Fire with Fire" graph hat but while I was making it, Hunger Games popped into my mind and hence, Girl on Fire :p Which of the two names do you like better? 

Despite the chosen name, this particular graph hat is just as much for the guys as it is for the girls :) It can be worked up in any size and is super warm and stretchy! I Love U Graph Hat

This crochet graph hat is the last in the Valentine's Day series I've been working on. :) It's cute, works up quickly and you're sure to love it as another V-Day hat to make! The instructions come in all sizes (make sure to read the hints & tips) and can be made in any worsted weight material!

Be Mine Graph Hat

Going along with the same theme as last week... how about another Valentine's Day related graph hat? This one features hearts that go up and down in a pattern. It can be made in a variety of colors and worn all winter long! This is a thick hat, so it's perfect for the cold month of February and, if you're in a cold state like I am... well into May!! If you've been following my graph hats over the past year, you'll notice that the pattern isn't the same as it was with my first, or even second or third! It's an evolution of the graph hat, for sure. As I've made more and more, I've developed easier ways of making the hat. I've not reached a point where ONE set of written instructions with minor tweaks that are written into the notes can make the same pattern work for all sizes. Awesome right? And even better... this method can work with ALL of the graph hats I've released, you just have to plug in that graph to these instructions/methods. :)

-          For infant, skip round 5 so that you only have 48 dc and cut off the last heart in the graph. The written instructions will still work but won’t match exactly because the instructions have 7 hearts, and a hat for an infant with only 48 stitches will only have 6 hearts. Ring Around the Hearts Beanie

I have a new free crochet pattern for you all today :) This one even has a bit of a story behind it! As many of you who follow my blog know, I've been doing graph patterns for nearly a year! My very first was the Emy's Beanie which can be found HERE. Since that pattern I've come out with tons of other graph hats! A truck hat for the boys, a shamrock hat, a paw print hat, an Easter symbols hat, and a princess crown hat all of which can be found for free on my blog!

Well, anyways, this one took some figuring out. It's the first in a line of five graph hats I'll be releasing for Valentine's Day (so keep your eyes peeled) and the hearts through me for a bit of a loop at first. I tried upside right, upside down and didn't like that. so I decided to flip them all upside right. This has is one of my favorites and I can't wait to share the rest with you!
