Triangle Stitch Hand Sanitizer Case


Hook: G
Material: Worsted Weight, 2 smallish buttons
Gauge: fit’s 2oz bottle

Special Stitches:
-          Beginning Triangle Stitch – YO, pick up a loop in first st, YO, pick up a loop in next st, YO, pick up a loop in next st, YO and pull through all 7 loops on hook, ch 2
-          Triangle Stitch – YO, pick up a loop in previous worked st, YO, pick up a loop in next st, YO, pick up a loop in next st, YO and pull through all 7 loops on hook, ch 2

o   Difference between BegTrs and Trs: the beg trs uses 3 unworked loops where the trs uses the previous st as its first st 

Round 1) Ch 12, join to first ch with sl st to form a ring, sc in to ring 14times, join to first sc with sl st – 14 sc

Round 2) Ch 1, 3 sc in same st as joining, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next 4 st, 3 sc in next st, sc in next st, 3 sc in next st, sc in last 4 st, join to first sc with sl st – 22 sc

Round 3) Ch 1, beg trs over 1st 3 t, trs around, join to first trs with sl st – 11 trs

Round 4) Ch 1, sl st into next ch 2 sp, ch 1, 2 sc in every ch 2 sp around, join to first sc with sl st – 22 sc

Round 5 – 9) Repeat rounds 3 & 4

Round 10) Ch 1, sc in every sc around, join to first sc with sl st – 22 sc

Button loop: Put bottle into case and find a center stitch, join with a ch 1 in this st, sc in same st as joining, *ch 1, turn, sc in next st*- repeat from *-* until you have 5 sc total, ch 5 and then sc back into the last sc you made to form a button loop. Tie off.

Strap: Ch 6, sl st in first ch made, ch 26, sl st in 6th ch from hook and every ch down to first loop made, tie off.

Buttons:
First button) Sew first button to top of center of case so that the button loop can fold over and button

Second button) Sew towards the side and the back, place one end of strap loop over button, and then place the second loop over the bottom to create a carrying loop so you can strap it to a purse, backpack or whatever else you might want!
