The All Boy Hat

Hook: I
Material: Red Heart Super Saver OR I Love This Yarn
Gauge: 7 St & 5 Rows = 2”

A – Blue – main
B – Red – truck
C – Grey - window
D – Black – door handle/tires

Abbreviations
-          Ch – chain
-          Dc – double crochet
-          Sl st – slip stitch
-          Fpdc – front post double crochet
-          St – stitch

Helpful Hints & Tips:
-          If the color changes are far apart (like when you are working on the main body of the truck), cut the yarn leaving about 2-3 inches of tail so you can tie them and trim them after you are done.
-          If the color changes are close together (like at the start of the truck) carry the yarn along behind you, I did not fpdc around it, I just carried it (not to tight) and started up with it again when I needed it.
-          I use the word “around” when talking about the fpdc. This is because a fpdc goes around a stitch, not through the loops.

    1. I actually bought that off of a lady in a crochet group I'm in. The only other way I could find them was in bulk on amazon.

  5. Great pattern. I had to rewrite on paper because the word around after fpdc totally confused me. I'm use to seeing fpdc and understanding what it means right off the bat. Thank you again for sharing. Do you have any with a train on it?

    1. I would use an I hook, get your gauge to 3 st by 3 rounds = 1" - increase to 60 st around, do a round or two in the main color before starting the graph on the next round. That should give it good stretch and make it the right size :)
