Textured Dish Cloth - Free Crochet Pattern


Hook: 7 – 4.5mm
Material: Sugar N Cream Cotton
Gauge: non-essential

Hints & Tips:
-          Cloth will kind of go diagonal while being worked. Just stretch it back to a square shape or you can let it have a more "diamond" shape. 
-          Cutting and joining with every color change makes it look a little more even.
-     The bottom picture of the collage shows what the backside looks like - this wash cloth is smooth on one side and more rough on the other to make scrubbing dishes easier! 

Row 1) With MC - Ch 31, turn, sc in 2nd ch from hook and across – 30 sc

Row 2) Ch 1, dc in 1st st and every st across – 30 dc

Row 3) With CC - Ch 1, dc in 1st st, *2 fpdc around next st, sk next st* around, dc in last st – 30 dc

Row 4) Repeat row 2

Row 5) With MC – Repeat row 3

Row 6) Repeat row 2

Row 7) With CC – Repeat row 3

Row 8) Repeat row 2

Row 9 - 17) Repeat rows 5 – 8 until row 17 or until desired length

Row 18) Ch 1, sc in every st across and tie off – 30 sc

Edging: Join in bottom right corner of dish cloth – work 2 sc in corner, 2 sc in every dc up cloth, 3 sc in corner, sc in every st across, 3 sc in corner, 2 sc in every dc down cloth, 3 sc in corner, sc in every st across, sc in last st (same as 1st worked st with 2 sc already in it), join to first sc with sl st and tie off.
