Random Pattern Find - Pretty Baby Beanie

This week's random pattern find has been a long time in coming, hasn't it? The last time I did one was before the scavenger hunt! I've just been so busy that I hadn't quite figured out how to schedule it back in... and now I have, so here it is :)

This hat is super simple and worked up in less than an hour for me. I use vanna's choice yarn to make it really soft and use an H hook. The pattern can be found HERE if you're wanting a newborn to 3 months sizes and HERE if you're wanting any size up to an adult. And the best part is that the patterns are free!

The designer of this beanie did a great job. There aren't any change I can even suggest to change it up a bit because, in my opinion, it is perfect as is! I ran into zero hiccups. Mostly because this hat is perfect for beginners and experts alike :p I would also suggest it for craft fairs! With how quickly it works up, you could have  nice stock pile of them in no time and the flower can easily be changed up.

The designer links two flowers on her baby version or you can use my NEW and FREE pattern for this beautiful "Crinkle Flower". I came up with is special for this hat ;) Check it out below!

Hook: H
Material: Vanna’s Choice

Round 1) Using magic circle, ch 1, sc 10, pull tight and join to first sc with sl st – 10 sc

Round 2) Ch 1, 2 sc in every st around in back loops only – 20 sc

Round 3) Change to flower color – Working in front loops of round 1, ch 1 turn so that the backside of the stitch faces forward, sc, dc, sc in every front ch loop around, join to first sc with sl st

Round 4) Sl st into both loops of round 2, still working with the backside of the stitch facing forward, *in next st, sc and dc, trc in next st, in next st, sc and dc* around, you’ll have one stitch to short so place the final dc and sc in the first st worked, join to first sc with sl st and tie off.

Weave in ends.
