Summer Net Market/Beach Bag

Hook: K
Material: Medium Weight
Gauge:  11” wide by 21” long (from bottom to tip of strap)

Hints & Tips:
-          Ch at the beginning of the rounds do not count as a stitch
-          At the beginning of each round when it says “next” you need to start in the first st still, I do it this way to shorten the instructions and hopefully make them easier to follow

Using MC
Round 1) Using magic circle, ch 2, 12 dc, pull tight, join to first dc with sl st – 12 dc

Round 2) Ch 2, 2 dc in every st around, join to first dc with sl st – 24 dc

Round 3) Ch 2, *1 dc in next st, 2 dc in next st* around, join to first dc with sl st – 36 dc

Round 4) Ch 2, *1 dc in next 2 st, 2 dc in next st* around, join to first dc with sl st – 48 dc

Round 5) Ch 2, *1 dc in next 3 st, 2 dc in next st* around, join to first dc with sl st – 60 dc

Round 6 – 9) Ch 2, dc in every st around, join to first dc with sl st – 60 dc

Round 25) Ch 2, sk first st, dc in next 16 st, dc dec in next dc and first ch (work in both looks leaving only the bottom “hump” of the ch) dc in next 58 ch, dc dec in last ch and next dc, dc in next 16 st, dc dec in last dc and first ch, dc in next 58 ch, dc dec in last ch and first dc (the one you skipped), join to first dc with sl st and tie off – 152 dc

Decorative Edging:
