“Heels to Boots” Leggings
I Hook
Gauge:
Row 1 - Create a chainless row of double crochets for a total of 30 dc – 35 dc
Row 2 - Ch 1, sc in first st, sc in every st across in front loops only – 35 sc
Row 3 - Ch 2, dc in first st, dc in ever st across in both loops – 35 dc
Row 4 - Repeat row 2
Row 5 - Repeat  row 3
Row 6 – 29 Repeat rows 2 & 3

Edging  – Ch 1, sc in both loops across with 3 sc in last st, *ch 3, sc in loop of dc row below it* until you reach the next corner, 3 sc in corner,* ch 3, sc in 3rd ch from st* to next corner, 3 sc in corner, sc down last side with 2 sc in the same st as the ch 1 and the sc there to make a total of 3 sc in that corner – tie off.

For second legging edge: Ch 1, sc in both loops across with 3 sc in last st, sc across next side with 3 sc in last st, *ch 3, sk 2 st, sc in next* to edge, 3 sc in corner, *ch 3, sc in every row of sc* to end, 2 sc in first st that already has one sc in it, tie off.

In all 3 ch loops - Join in first ch 3 loop with ch 1, sc, hdc, dc, hdc, sc in each loop on both sides with loops (when you reach the corner, sl st to next loop), sl st in next sc, tie off at last loop. Make sure that the front is facing you.

For the piece that goes under the heel

Ch 7, sl st in 2nd st from hook and in every st across in back loop only (here on out)
Ch 1, sl st in next 6 st
Repeat row 2 until you have 39 rows or the length is 6”

For beads you thread the needle and tie the two strands together (so the needle is in the middle) and thread it at the start of where you want the beads (near the edge). String enough beads to make ONE single loop and thread that through the next stitch so that the bead loops are under the crochet shells, after thread is through stitch, add more beads, thread through next stitch. Repeat until you reach the end and beads are looped across the top. Tie off and repeat on second legging.

Button up leggings and sew the piece that goes under the heel directly in the middle. Tie off loose ends and trim.

Special trick: I used the back loop of the last row of sc to loop the buttons through. Natural button rows that are tight so you don’t need button holes. The hook makes them open enough to stretch and this makes it where you can make it a tight legging or a loose legging.
